Siakas is Professor at the University of West Attica, Director of the MA in Animation, and Director of the \u201cFilm Studies\u201d programme at the Hellenic Open University. He is also Director of the ANIMAPRO research lab, focusing on animation, immersive media and participatory storytelling practices.<\/p>\r\n          <p>A founding member of ASIFA Hellas, he has maintained a long-standing collaboration with the Drama International Short Film Festival (DISFF). Having served as Head Programmer until 2025, he is currently Lead Animation Selector for the International Competition. In 2026, his work and broader transmedia practice will also be featured in a dedicated tribute at the Athens Digital Arts Festival (ADAF).<\/p>\r\n          <p>His creative portfolio includes award-winning animation projects, most notably \u201cOpen Wings\u201d (IRIS Award for Best Animated Film), for which he served as Animation Director. He recently completed his debut animated feature, \u201cThe Shadow of the Kallikantzaros,\u201d which functions as the narrative core of a wider transmedia and immersive storytelling ecosystem
